Acts prophylactically on the appearance of algae by competing with them. It can be used every week as a preventative measure.

Algae are seen as a real nuisance by many aquarists, but they are naturally present in freshwater aquariums as in all natural aquatic environments.

Algae appreciate imbalances, too much or not enough light, increasing tank temperature, adding new fish or plants, cleaning the filtration, etc. There are many opportunities for development.

Wanting to eradicate them with a lot of chemical treatments such as herbicides or pesticides (Monolinuron for example) or worse by using antibiotics (against cyanobacteria).
